Kesari Veer movie review : Read the honest Kesari Veer movie review, a 2025 historical drama starring Sooraj Pancholi, Suniel Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi. Based on a real warrior Hamirji Gohil, but does the movie deliver? Full analysis inside.

Kesari Veer Movie Review: A Historic Glory or Cinematic Mess?

Introduction

Welcome to this Kesari Veer movie review, a film based on a real historic warrior Hamirji Gohil, who protected the Somnath Temple from being destroyed by the Mughals. Now I know if I say something, it may trigger controversy, so I’ll leave that to Suraj – he’s a master of it.

I saw Kesari Veer, which is based on a historic event, and I’m honestly a bit afraid to talk about it. Why? Because they made Kesari Veer but tried to make it like Baahubali. Anyway, let’s dive in.

Review: The Good, The Bad, The Very Bad

The final scene stands tall. That one battle scene is better than the entire film combined. It literally gave me goosebumps. But the Kesari Veer movie review becomes a joke once you start watching from the beginning.

Honestly, I wanted to walk out. This movie is based on a battle, and watching it felt like fighting a battle myself.

They’ve taken a serious historic event and turned it into a TV serial shown in theatres. The kind of production quality this film offers is usually found in high-budget TV shows. And worst of all, the actual topic is only addressed in the last 20 minutes.

Acting & Characters

Sooraj Pancholi as Hamirji Gohil – weak acting, bad casting. Akanksha Sharma? Same issue. The only people who seemed committed were Suniel Shetty and Vivek Oberoi. The rest? Underwhelming performances.

Kesari Veer movie review would have been more positive if casting was better. The topic had Baahubali-level potential, but the execution messed everything up.

Scenes, VFX & Comparison

There are scenes where you’ll feel like you’re watching a low-budget Baahubali. That mountain scene? Direct Baahubali vibes. The way the heroine fights while the hero watches? Baahubali. That cloth-burning scene from Baahubali 2? Copied.

But here, the intensity is low, and the execution is laughable. Even worse? The CGI lion scene – totally fake. If the budget wasn’t enough, why even attempt that scene? It reminded me of the dogs from the animated movie Roadside Romeo.

Music & Technical Aspects

Monty Sharma’s music is average. Editing is loose. Pacing is a disaster. The VFX is so poor, it’ll make you laugh instead of impress you. This Kesari Veer movie review cannot recommend it for its production value.

Conclusion

In this Kesari Veer movie review, it’s clear the film wanted to tell a brave story. But poor direction, writing, and technical flaws ruin it. Only the last 20 minutes are worth watching. If someone watches it, they’ll only remember that final battle scene.

Overall, from my side:
1 out of 5 stars – only for the last scene.
